LOCATION

Skanör is located in the very south westerly corner of Sweden, approx. 25 kms south of Malmö and the Öresundbridge, between Denmark (Copenhagen) and Sweden (Malmö)

Skanör is also conveniently located with only some 30 kms south of Malmö with its frequent ferry connections from Germany, Travemünde

SKANÖRS BÅTKLUBB

The yacht club in Skanör (SBK) was established in 1961 and has a long tradition of arranging regattas on a local, regional, national, as well as international level. The latest being the Swedish International Finn dinghy championships as well as the Swedish Nationals in the Star Class. Skanör has also hosted the “Allsvenskan “, a national league on a yearly basis for the teams from the 18 top Yacht Clubs in Sweden.

HARBOUR AND RACE FACILITIES   

The harbour has been newly refurbished in 2022 with new piers / bridges and a new crane. All Dragons will be moored on the same bridge close to the yacht club to create an attractive environment. The race area is located directly outside the harbour and the races can easily be followed by interested spectators. Facilities for trailer- and car-parking in direct access to the harbour.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES – ACCOMODATIONS   

Breakfast / coffee / tee every morning for participants and officials in the club house. After sail to be arranged on a daily basis in the barbeque area in the harbour and a Regatta Dinner to be arranged in one of the 5 different restaurants in the harbour.

Skanör Falsterbo offers a wide variety of facilities for the participants stay during the regatta from camping and resort in small cottages to hotel facilities. There are also a lot of different Airbnb offers in different price segments.
